He was educated at Pembroke State, University of North Carolina and at Harvard Business School.

Karen Kain

Ms. Kain's creative career began at age 4 when her preschool teacher Mrs. Barnaby remarked that young Karen's Popsicle stick gluing and glitter decorating skills were months ahead of her classmates, and that she was ready to learn the controversial craft of decoupage. Jump ahead 3 or 4 years to a Design degree at Texas Tech University and an exciting first job at a world-renowned firm in Lubbock. Thus began a 16-year career (so far) that took her to Houston ad agencies Rives Carlberg, Bates Southwest and, finally, her own freelance business. Her mind has hatched creative campaigns for GTE, Verizon Wireless, Texaco, Houston Zoo, Dry Cleaner's Secret, and Mississippi Power. In her spare time Karen trains pilots at the Top Gun school, Miramar NAS, and folds stuff at the Gap (perfectly, of course). Disclaimer: Ms. Kain didn't write or approve this bio.

Zandra Sommer

Zandra is currently a consultant, assisting advertising agencies and clients in the Southeast on marketing and media communications. Prior to consulting, she spent 14 years at West Wayne where she was executive vice-president, managing partner, and most recently led communications planning for BellSouth. She has had the opportunity to work for great Southeastern powerhouse companies, such as Publix SuperMarkets, SunTrust, and national and international clients, such as Royal Caribbean, Florida’s Natural Orange Juice, Russell Athletic, and Outback Steakhouses.

She received the prestigious award of "Outstanding Woman in Communications" from the Southeastern Chapter of American Women in Radio and Television. She has been recognized by "Who’s Who" in America. She has judged national and regional award shows. However, she is most proud of her work in launching the nationally recognized Florida program for education of impoverished children "Take Stock in Children
